Roll Call is an iPhone app developed by John Kenneth Fisher under the Sidelark Labs name. Roll Call helps users create and run walk-up music cues, announcer intros, team rosters, and Game Day lineups.
By using Roll Call, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Use of Roll Call
Roll Call is provided to help users organize and play audio cues for teams, events, and group introductions.
You may use Roll Call for personal, team, recreational, school, community, or similar purposes, as long as your use is lawful and does not violate the rights of others.
You are responsible for how you use the app and for the content you add to it.
Accounts
Roll Call does not require a Sidelark Labs account.
Roll Call does not operate a public profile system, social network, or public team page.
User Content
Roll Call lets you add or create content such as:
• Team names
• Player names
• Uniform numbers
• Player photos
• Team colors
• Song selections
• Imported audio files
• Recorded announcer intros
• Lineup information
• Exported .rollcall team packages
This content remains your responsibility.
You should only add content that you have the right to use and share. This includes names, photos, recordings, music, audio files, and any other information or media you add to Roll Call.
Music, Audio, and Media Rights
Roll Call helps you organize and play audio cues. Roll Call does not grant you any rights to music, recordings, photos, names, trademarks, or other content.
You are responsible for making sure that your use of any music, audio, photos, recordings, names, or other content is lawful and appropriate for your event, venue, league, school, organization, or community.
Some music or audio may be subject to copyright, licensing rules, venue rules, platform restrictions, or other legal requirements. You are responsible for understanding and following those requirements.
Sidelark Labs is not responsible for content you add, import, record, play, export, or share using Roll Call.
Apple Music and Third-Party Services
Roll Call may use Apple-provided services and frameworks, including Apple Music, Photos, Files, system permissions, device storage, and App Store services.
Your use of Apple Music, the App Store, iOS, iCloud, device backups, and other Apple services is subject to Apple’s own terms and policies.
Sidelark Labs does not control Apple Music availability, subscription status, playback behavior, song availability, previews, authorization, App Store behavior, iCloud behavior, or device backup behavior.
Team Export, Import, and Sharing
Roll Call allows you to export and import .rollcall team packages.
A .rollcall package may include team data such as player names, numbers, photos, audio settings, imported audio, recorded announcer intros, team colors, lineup details, and related app data.
When you export or share a .rollcall package, you are responsible for where that file goes and who receives it.
Anyone who receives a .rollcall package may be able to view or use the information contained in that package.
Do not export, share, or import team packages in a way that violates someone else’s privacy, rights, rules, or expectations.
Youth Teams and Player Information
Roll Call may be used by adults, coaches, parents, guardians, team helpers, or organizers for youth sports teams or other group activities.
You are responsible for deciding what player or team information to enter into Roll Call.
Please avoid adding sensitive personal information that is not needed to use the app.
If you use Roll Call for a youth team, make sure your use of names, numbers, photos, recordings, or other information is appropriate for your team, league, school, organization, and community.
No Emergency or Critical Use
Roll Call is a convenience app for organizing and playing audio cues.
Roll Call is not intended for emergency communication, safety alerts, official scoring, official roster management, medical use, legal compliance, or any other critical purpose.
Do not rely on Roll Call as the only source for important, official, or time-sensitive information.
App Availability and Changes
Sidelark Labs may update, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of Roll Call at any time.
Features may change over time as the app is improved.
Sidelark Labs may also update these Terms of Use from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
Backups and Data Loss
Roll Call may include export, import, and backup features to help you preserve team data.
You are responsible for maintaining any backups or exported files you want to keep.
Sidelark Labs is not responsible for lost team data, deleted players, deleted teams, missing files, unavailable media, device loss, device damage, failed backups, or other data loss.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Roll Call to:
• Violate any law, rule, regulation, or agreement
• Violate someone else’s privacy or rights
• Use names, photos, audio, recordings, or other content without appropriate permission
• Harass, embarrass, threaten, or target another person
• Share private team or player information without permission
• Interfere with, damage, reverse engineer, or misuse the app
• Use the app in a way that could harm Sidelark Labs, other users, or third parties
Ownership of Roll Call
Roll Call, the Roll Call name, app design, website content, branding, software, graphics, and related materials are owned by John Kenneth Fisher, Sidelark Labs, or their licensors.
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Roll Call app. They do not give you ownership of Roll Call or any Sidelark Labs intellectual property.
You retain responsibility for the content you add to the app, subject to the rights of any third parties whose content you use.
Source License and Public Repository
The public Roll Call source repository may be made available under separate source-available, noncommercial license terms.
Those source license terms apply only to the source materials covered by that license. They do not grant rights to use the Roll Call app name as a product name, Roll Call logos, icons, branding, John-specific images or personal likeness, sample personal or team media, third-party materials, or other reserved materials except as stated in those license terms.
Public forks and modified builds may be subject to additional attribution, naming, source-publication, and noncommercial-use requirements.
These Terms of Use are separate from the source license. The source license governs use of the covered source materials. These Terms govern use of the Roll Call app.
Licenses and Attributions
Roll Call may include open-source software, third-party software libraries, bundled audio clips, and other third-party materials.
Third-party materials remain under their own licenses and are not relicensed by Roll Call, Sidelark Labs, or John Kenneth Fisher.
Sidelark Labs does not guarantee that Roll Call will be error-free, uninterrupted, compatible with every device, compatible with every media file, or suitable for every event or use case.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sidelark Labs disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sidelark Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, content, revenue, profits, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from or related to your use of Roll Call.
Your use of Roll Call is at your own risk.
Termination
You may stop using Roll Call at any time.
Sidelark Labs may restrict or discontinue access to Roll Call if necessary to protect the app, users, Sidelark Labs, or third parties, or if these Terms are violated.
